& the West Brookfield Historical Commission

Events and Features

Union Camp

Camp will be open to the public from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. In Camp, the 15th will have 2 detained Confederate soldiers from the 4th Alabama Regiment. Feel free to come in and ask questions.

Demonstration of Military Drill

While our company drills, an interpreter will describe the procedures utilized to bring a company from a line of march into a deployed battle line.

Rifle Firing Demonstration

Watch as soldiers in a battle line load and fire examples of civil war weapons.

Portrayals of Camp Life

See how the soldiers lived, what they ate, where they slept, what hardships they endured. They love to talk about the 15th.

Camp Tours

               Come talk to the soldiers around their campfire, see how they prepared their meals.

2:00 p.m. A Presentation at Our Civil War Monument by the 15th  In Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War

West Brookfield in the Civil War

West Brookfield’s citizens who went off to fight for the Union. Those who did not return home. We have all the names & the profiles of our soldiers.
