A Brookfield Planter Family William Henry Pritchard 1604-1675 William Pritchard was killed by Indians near present day New Braintree, MA on August 2, 1675, at the ambush known as Wheeler's Surprise during the Siege of Brookfield, King Philip's War. His Family
Notes: All siblings were born in Ipswich to William & Hannah and moved with their father and mother to the "Quaboag Plantation" in 1665. William, his son, and future son-in-law Judah Trumble, were signers of the incorporation of the Towne of Brookefeild. All of the siblings except William and Hannah were in Ayer's Fortified house during the Siege by the Quaboag Indians. Samuel was killed, all of the remaining siblings fled from Brookfield and scattered. William's wife Hannah moved with her youngest daughter Sarah to Andover, MA. She remarried and lived until 1705.
