A Brookfield Planter Family

Judah Trumble  1643 -1692

By his first marriage, Judah had no issue. The children of Judah and Mary Pritchard Trumble were as follows:

wife Mary Pritchard Trumble 1654 @ Ipswich daughter of William Pritchard, died @ Suffield, CT. in 1722
1 John Trumble Mar. 3, 1673/4 @ Brookfield John was found listed in the account of his father in 1692 as having worked with him for John Pynchon. Nothing further is found of him at Suffield.
2 Ebenezer Trumble Aug. 1, 1675 @ Brookfield Died young
3 Joseph Trumble Jan 3, 1676/7 @ Suffield, CT Like his brother John, Joseph worked with his father Judah
4 Judah Trumble, Jr. Jan. 2, 1678/9 @ Suffield Had a grant of a highway at Suffield on Mar. 1, 1702-3. He was killed by Indians near Brookfield on or around Aug. 2, 1706.
5 Mary Trumble Mar. 20, 1681/2 @ Suffield Married Thomas Marsh; died at Ware, MA., on June 27, 1765.
6 William Jul. 9, 1683 @ Suffield Nothing further is known
7 Samuel Jun. 1, 1685 @ Suffield Was a soldier stationed in the garrison at Brookfield on Oct,. 30, 1706, he was one of the petitioners to the General Court for continuance of an allowance for the minister.
8 Ephraim Jul. 6, 1688 @ Suffield His twins, Samuel and Mary were baptized at the Suffield Congregational Church on Nov. 17, 1723. His wife Mary was baptized on Jul. 2, 1727 and was listed as a member of that church on Jun. 2, 1728

Note:  There is no evidence that any of the heirs of Judah Trumble made claims to their father's grants at Brookfield during the second settlement.
